India beats Australia

The target of 290 appeared to be stiff, especially when India were wobbling at 35 for 2 in the ninth over, but Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh maintained their sang froid to get India close before the adventurous Suresh Raina sealed the win in style. Kohli, in particular, impressed. He not only lost Yuvraj in the 34th over with India still 118 runs adrift of the target but also, by then, was suffering from severe cramps and was forced to bat with a runner. If those hurdles fazed him, he didn't show it and went on to clinch the game in the company of the Raina. More in ICC World Cricket

Pakistan outplayed Bangladesh | Shahid Afridi stars Pakistan

Shahid Afridi once again proved his potential as a great hitter of cricket ball while he played an absolutely cyclonic innings of 124 from just 60 balls against Bangladesh. His innings helped Pakistan to reach almost an outreached total of 385 from allocated 50 over. A new-look Pakistan, led by a new-look Shahid Afridi, bowed out of the Asia Cup with little to boast about but with their reputations enhanced, while Bangladesh ended their campaign by reaffirming the gulf between them and the top-flight teams. Afridi unleashed the kind of fury he is famous for to launch Pakistan to their highest ODI score, and subsequently their first victory in 2010. Bangladesh, however, belied a complete lack of purpose in both innings, as the match meandered to the kind of denouement that has administrators concerned about the future of ODI cricket. But their expectation or dream of having a world cup has come true in the most recently completed ICC World T20 2010. In the end, it was all so simple. The manner in which England secured their maiden global triumph was clinical and comprehensive – a rout to rival those that Australia have themselves inflicted on Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka in their consecutive 50-over World Cup victories. The Australians entered the final boasting 10 wins and a Super Over defeat in their last 11 Twenty20 outings, and yet the scale of England's victory was crushing, with 15% of their overs left unused. ICC World T20 Update: Winning the toss Australia took decision to bowl first. But Pakistani Akmal brothers  proved the decision absolutely wrong. Both of these player made half century to reach Pakistan into a great total of 191/6. Salman Butt, Khalid Latif and Abdur Razzak played some little cameo to support those. But Aussies kept the moment on to rotate the scorecard. But they were in a big task when required run rate goes up over 12 per over. They needed almost 126 runs from their last 10 overs. But Cameron White keeps his nerve strong to play some big sixes. After after his departure it looked like very impossible. Pakistani supporters were quite sure to see Pakistan into the final match. Bangladesh is well ahead of Surrey | Bangladesh 372/6, Surrey 317/7 (Dec)

Bangladesh is now well ahead of Surrey as New comer Jahurul played an extraordinary innings of 159 run while little master Ashraful played an innings of 89 run. When it comes to their respective heights, about a foot or so separates Bangladeshi batsmen Mohammad Ashraful and Jahurul Islam, yet in terms of Test experience the two stylish right-handers remain poles apart.

The diminutive Ashraful, the Tigers' Test captain until last year, is his nation's most capped player with 53 Test appearances to his name, while the taller, willowy Jahurul, only made his Test bow in March, scoring 0 and 43 in the nine-wicket defeat by England at Mirpur. read details in ICC World Cricket

South Africa is almost out of the tournament | Pakistan beat South Africa by 11 runs

South Africa was one of the top favorite team to achieve the trophy of ICC World T20. But they are almost out of the tournament now. South Africa were knocked out of the World Twenty20 by living up to their reputation of coming up short in crunch matches with an inexplicably limp batting display after a Charl Langeveldt masterclass in end-innings bowling had kept Pakistan to a gettable total. The bedrock of the defending champions' first victory in the Super Eights were Saeed Ajmal's doosras and a sparkling Umar Akmal cameo, but Pakistan will also thank the redoubtable South African top-order for idling early in the chase. read details on ICC World Cricket

The captain Gayle didn't play due to a problem with his glutes, leaving Dwayne Bravo in charge, and there were thoughts of an upset when West Indies scrapped to 138 for 9 on a sluggish surface. There was a party atmosphere in the stands of the Providence stadium, but life was much more serious on the ground for the home batsmen, particularly when the 17-year-old George Dockrell was operating....read details about ICC World T20 in ICC World Cricket.
